PROGRAM
Exterior renovations of a very tired retail center building, to address an expanding client and to present a vibrant, new aesthetic to a burgeoning area.

SOLUTION
Dynamic vertical forms and projecting lightweight canopies articulate a strong presence, while increasing visibility for an existing retail building. Bold color patterns and dramatic lighting further enhance the building's appearance.

PIER 1 IMPORTS + PARTY CITY

PROGRAM
Exterior renovations of a 1970's-era retail center building for national retailer Pier 1 Imports and Party City, in Cincinnati, Ohio.
SOLUTION
Articulated massing, a brick veneer, awnings, and decorative exterior lighting increase the visibility and update the appearance of this retail building, in one of Cincinnati's busiest shopping districts.9500 COLERAIN

PROJECT DESCRIPTION
Exterior renovation of an existing, outlot retail building and retail tenants near Northgate Mall in Cincinnati, Ohio. Interior tenant upfit for Life Uniform and re-demised interior white-box retail spaces, as well as an extensive exterior facade renovation utilizing a colonnade of brick-and-masonry piers and upper EIFS facade.

Renovation of an existing strip center retail building and adjacent "Big Box" retailer in Milford, Ohio. Concept Studies completed for a complete exterior renovation including facades and walking surfaces/paving.WING EYE CARE

PROJECT DESCRIPTION
Numerous family eye care retail locations for the largest group optometry practice throughout Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky. Retail sales area for eyeglass frame display and fitting, examination and testing rooms, contact lens delivery area, as well as support spaces are included in the program of spaces.

BODY CENTRAL
PROJECT DESCRIPTION
Numerous retail tenant spaces in shopping malls for Body Central, a women's clothing and fashion accessories national retailer. Design schemes include new storefront designs, cashwraps and changing rooms.
PRETZELMAKER

PROJECT DESCRIPTION
Design of a small food court tenant in a local shopping mall combining two product vendors in the same space. Complementary colors and materials were combined to present a more seamless aesthetic to the customer.

Design of a hair and beauty salon in an existing retail center in the Hyde Park area of Cincinnati, Ohio. Retail sales area, salon area as well as support spaces.

DR. REYES MEDICAL BUILDING

PROJECT DESCRIPTION
A new 3,040 SF medical office building for a family medicine practice in Fairfield, Ohio. Multiple exam rooms, a minor surgical room, support/lab spaces comprise the design scheme. The building is located within Fairfield's Town Center and Village Green which includes the Village Green Community Arts Center, Lane Public Library, Village Green Park and numerous office buildings.
ENJOY THE ARTS

PROGRAM
New office space and entertainment area for promotions for the Enjoy the Arts organization of Cincinnati. Office space, conference area, food prep, and gathering areas were desired.
SOLUTION
Two adjacent spaces, formerly separated by a masonry bearing wall, located on the street level of a four-story building in the revitalized, multi-use "Main Street" area in the Over-the-Rhine district of Cincinnati, Ohio.ONCOLOGY/HEMATOLOGY CENTER

SOLUTION

PROJECT DESCRIPTION
Exterior, renovation of an existing, one-story office building (formerly a grocery store) including six (6) new entry canopies and signage in Alexandria, Kentucky.

RPMI
PROGRAM
Expanded offices, new product showroom, and enlarged manufacturing and fabricating area for a manufacturer of packaging machinery.
SITE
An existing, pre-engineered steel building, that currently houses offices and manufacturing/fabricating in Mason, Ohio.

SOLUTION
Completed Design Development Drawings for a 9,300 SF addition to and extensive renovation of the existing building. A combination of new, pre-engineered and steel building ... and conventional steel frame and masonry bearing wall are utilized to give new presence to the building, and create a much need public entry at the center of the facility.

WINNIE THE POOH DAYCARE/PRESCHOOL

PROJECT DESCRIPTION
A new child daycare facility of 8,300 SF with nine individual, age-ranged classrooms with integral, independent toilet facilities. A central multi-purpose/muscle room, staff offices, staff lounge, food preparation area, and exterior playground area complete this project.

The design incorporates elements scaled to children, and provides a visually stimulating environment through the use of color scheme based on primary colors, and distinct "block" forms. Future expansion of the facility will be provided for, as the building will be able to grow on the site.

YMCA Joshua, Texas

PROJECT DESCRIPTION
Stephen Brown Architects collaborated with Good Fulton & Farrell Architects (Dallas, Texas) on the first recreation center located in the city of Joshua, Texas. GFF was hired to a design a facility integrated into the local Texas vernacular of its surroundings, while showcasing the growth and progress of the City. The overall form of the 24,868 SF building utilizes a rectangular concrete tilt panel system, anchored by a tall entrance tower of natural stone and steel, with the south and east facades accented through contemporary rectangular forms expressed in natural stone, concrete board siding, and glass.
The interior of the building is organized into two linear blocks. One is a large open-to-structure space containing the lobby and main fitness area, highlighted by large windows and bright blocks of warm color. Concrete floors, and wood and metal accents complement the exterior palette.

INDOOR SPORTS FACILITY, City of Myrtle Beach, SC

PROJECT DESCRIPTION
The City of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina made efforts to expand its sports tourism capabilities to a new level, by developing an indoor sports facility to complement a recent convetion center complex expansion. Stephen Brown Architects teamed with Mind's Eye Architecture (Charlotte, NC) for a proposed design of the 100,000 SF facility.
The new sports facility includes 8 basketball courts, 16 volleyball courts, an entertainment zone/climbing wall area, cafe and retail areas, as well as conference rooms and a mezzanine level viewing areas of the indoor courts.
+ INDUSTRIAL
FN SHEPPARD

PROJECT DESCRIPTION
A 16,000 SF addition utilizing CMU construction, and steel framed roof structure to an existing manufacturing/production facility for a national belting manufacturer in Erlanger, Kentucky. The addition includes a 3,200 SF mezzanine, a drive-in door, and a loading dock for the manufacturing/warehouse use of this facility's expansion.

MACH III CLUTCH

PROJECT DESCRIPTION
A new, 15,250 SF manufacturing/production facility for a metal fabrication company including production area, warehouse and offices. A pre-engineered metal building is utilized for the entire structure.
JOE LASITA & SONS, INC.

PROJECT DESCRIPTION
Renovation and expansion of the new home of produce supplier, Joe Lasita & Sons, Inc. Total of 31,365 SF facility with specialized cooling systems for warehouse area and pre-industrialized construction units. Expansion of offices, an employee lounge, exterior renovations, and warehouse modifications were executed.
